What Is Dry-Fast Foam?
Dry-fast foam is an open-cell, reticulated polyurethane foam made for outdoor cushions. Its cells are open and connected, so rain drains straight through instead of soaking in, and the cushion dries in hours — not days. That open structure resists mold and mildew, which is why it's the right foam for patio, boat and poolside seating.

What is dry-fast foam?
Dry-fast foam is an open-cell, reticulated polyurethane foam for outdoor cushions. Its connected open cells let water drain straight through and dry in hours, and the open structure resists mold and mildew.
How is dry-fast foam different from regular foam?
Regular closed-comfort foam has sealed cells that soak up and hold water. Dry-fast foam has its cell walls removed, so water passes through and air flows freely, letting it drain and dry far faster.
Does dry-fast foam stop mold and mildew?
It strongly resists them. Because water drains out instead of sitting inside, the foam stays dry between uses, removing the damp conditions mold and mildew need. Many dry-fast foams are also treated with an antimicrobial.
Do I still need a waterproof fabric with dry-fast foam?
Yes, pair it with a water- and fade-resistant outdoor fabric. The fabric sheds most water and UV, while the dry-fast foam drains anything that gets through, so the cushion never stays soggy.
Is dry-fast foam good for indoor cushions?
It isn't necessary indoors. For dry indoor seating, high-density foam is more comfortable and supportive. Save dry-fast foam for outdoor, boat and poolside cushions that get wet.
