Brush, blot, air-dry. Almost every cushion problem is solved by those three steps done early. Below: what to do, what to avoid, and a quick reference by fabric type.
Do
- Brush or vacuum before any wet cleaning.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean lint-free cloth.
- Test any new cleaner on a hidden seam first.
- Clean the whole panel, seam to seam, to avoid water rings.
- Plump, rotate and swap cushion positions weekly.
- Dry everything completely before storage or reuse.
Don't
- Never machine-dry outdoor or velvet covers.
- No pressure washers - they break down fabric coatings.
- Skip fabric softeners and scented detergents.
- Avoid rubbing in circles - it spreads and sets stains.
- Don't store cushions damp or sealed in plastic.
- Never leave foam in direct sun for more than a few hours.

Care over the years
- Year 1Rotate cushions monthly, plump them weekly. The fibres settle in this first year.
- Year 2-5Deep-clean covers twice a year. Air the foam in indirect light to release moisture.
- Year 5+Replace foam inserts as they soften - we cut new ones to your original pattern.
- AlwaysKeep cushions off damp ground; lift them on edge to dry after rain or washing.
- Off-seasonStore dry in breathable cotton bags - never sealed plastic, never on concrete.
