What is dry-fast foam?

Dry-fast foam is a reticulated open-cell outdoor foam. Its pores are open all the way through, so water drains out and air passes in, letting the cushion dry in hours instead of staying soaked like standard foam.

How is it different from regular high-density foam?

High-density foam is firmer and best for covered or indoor seating, but it absorbs and holds water. Dry-fast foam is made specifically for uncovered outdoor use where rain and drying matter more than maximum firmness.

Does dry-fast foam feel firm enough to sit on?

Yes. It's supportive for everyday seating, though slightly softer and more open than solid high-density foam. For boats and pool decks that trade-off is worth it because the cushion won't stay wet.

Do I still need a water-resistant fabric?
