Measuring
Ten minutes with a tape and a curve
We cut to exactly the numbers you send us — nothing is deducted, nothing rounded up. The inward curve is what makes a kidney seat fit, so they are worth taking slowly.

Measure the seat it sits on
A curved settee, a vanity stool, a bowed window seat, a banquette — measure the base the cushion will sit on, so the foam fits the seat, not a guess.

Read the width, depth and the indent
A kidney front bows inward. Take the total width and the greatest depth, then how far the front curve dips at its deepest — that indent is what lets the cushion hug the seat instead of gapping at the ends.

Odd curve? Trace it or send a photo
Every kidney curve is different. Lay paper on the seat, trace the edge, and send us the template or a photo — we cut the concave front straight from your outline, to ±1 cm.

Cheap cushions are filled with shredded or re-bonded offcuts: firm in week one, sagging by month six. Yours is cut from a single high-density block.
Density is how long it lasts. Firmness is how it feels. We publish ours; most sellers don't.

Questions people actually ask
What does the 14-day fit guarantee cover?+
It covers our side of the job. We cut the foam to the measurements on your order exactly — nothing is deducted or rounded — and every order is checked by hand before it's cut. If what arrives doesn't match those numbers, send us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we cut you a new one, free. The window starts the day it reaches your door, not the day you order. If the space was measured wrong, that isn't covered — but send a photo or a paper trace before you order and we'll help you get the numbers right.
How firm should a kidney cushion be?+
It depends on the seat. For a settee or bench you sit on daily, high-density foam holds the curved shape and stays firm; for a decorative or vanity pad, a softer fiberfill feels better. You choose foam or fiberfill, and the exact thickness, when you configure.
How long does it take to arrive?+
Everything is made to order. Your lead time is shown before you pay, not after, and the tracking link arrives the moment it leaves the workshop.
Can I order the cover only, or just the foam?+
Yes — full cushion, cover only, or bare foam cut to your curve, through the same configurator and the same checkout. If a piece has gone soft but the cover is still good, foam-only is usually all you need.
How do I clean it?+
Covers unzip and most cushion fabrics sponge clean; for anything set in, a soft brush with mild soapy water and air drying does it. Care instructions for your specific fabric come in the box.
