Should a U-shaped nook be one cushion or three?
Either works. A single U-shaped piece gives a seamless, upholstered-booth look with no gaps at the inner corners. Three separate straight cushions are easier to lift for cleaning and to fit through doorways. Tell us which you prefer, or ask us on WhatsApp and we'll advise for your nook.
How do I measure a U-shaped bench cushion?
Measure the outer width and outer depth of the full bench, then the inner opening width and depth around the table, and the thickness. Note if the two side runs are different lengths. Every cushion is cut to ±1 cm. Full picture guide: How to measure.
Can the two sides be different lengths?
Yes. Many built-in nooks are asymmetric — one side longer than the other, or the back deeper than the sides. Enter your real measurements for each run, and for an unusual layout send a photo on WhatsApp so we can confirm before cutting.
How thick should a nook bench cushion be?
For a daily dining nook, 2–3″ (5–8 cm) of high-density foam gives firm, supportive seating that keeps its shape; go 3–4″ for a lounge-style banquette. You set the exact thickness when you customize.
