How to Measure Outdoor Cushions
To measure outdoor cushions, measure each piece on the bare frame: the width, depth and thickness of every seat and back cushion in the set. Do not measure the faded cushions you are replacing, because sun and rain compress foam and shrink covers. Work one chair or sofa section at a time and label every measurement.

How do I measure a patio chair or sofa section?
- Remove the old cushions and measure the seat deck: width at the front, width at the back, and depth from front to back.
- Measure the back opening: width, and height from the seat deck to the top of the frame.
- Decide the seat and back thickness. When seat and back cushions are ordered together, subtract the seat thickness from the back height so the back does not rise above the frame.
- Label the piece, for example "sofa, left seat", and move on to the next one.
How do I measure a corner sectional?
Measure each seat deck separately, and measure the corner piece on its own, because corners are often a different depth or shape. If the corner seat is L-shaped, follow the L-shaped cushion guide.

Where do the ties go?
Note where the frame has posts or slats that ties could wrap around, and measure the distance from the back corners to those points. The piping and ties guide covers tie placement.
Can you match cushions for a discontinued set?
Yes. Because every cushion is made to order to your measurements, seats and backs can be rebuilt for a set that is no longer sold.

- Every piece labelled, with its numbers in one unit, inches or centimetres.
