How to Measure a Church Pew for a Cushion
To measure a church pew for a cushion, run a metal tape along the full seat length, measure the seat depth from the front edge to the backrest, and choose a thickness of 2–3″ for firm all-service seating. Enter those three numbers in the customizer, and note any curve or divider — no quote form, no waiting.

Church pew cushions — answered
Should one long pew have a single cushion or several?
Up to about 72 inches a single cushion works well. Beyond that, most churches split the length into two or three equal sections so each cushion is light enough to lift for cleaning and storage. Enter each section separately in the customizer.
How thick should a church pew cushion be?
2 to 3 inches of high-density foam is ideal for full-length services — firm, supportive and it holds its shape for years. Chapels with shorter or occasional use can go 1 to 2 inches. Thicker than 3 inches can make a low pew feel too high.
Can you make curved or tapered pew cushions?
Yes. We build straight, curved-front, tapered and trapezoid pew cushions to your exact measurements. Note the curve or the different end widths, sketch or photograph it, and we will match it.
How do I match my sanctuary colour, and how long does it take?
